Busy, Busy, Busy.............

December for me seems to be the busiest time of the year. Christmas starts too early, and no matter what,I cannot begin to start my christmas shopping until December is here, hence it is such a busy month. Since I last blogged things have been pretty hectic, working, shopping, preparations. Then a couple of days befor Christmas my Mum was admitted to hospital with some serious problems. Up until this point I was trying to keep to the scheduel I had sort of set myself. I had earmarked free time when I could visit family and friends to drop off presents and last minute cards. As you can imagine all these plans went astray. It is very humbling visiting patients in Hospital at this time of year, as it makes you take stock of what we all take for granted so much "our health". I am hoping she will be home soon.

Here are a few photos I was hoping to post, had I had more time......

......... a very cold day mid-december, the view from the car park at the village hall where we meet for spinning class.

The snow capped Cheviot Hills.

Before

We went and chopped down this tree ourselves, hope it lasts and not too much needle drop.

After

My dolls house all lit up and looking festive.

Merry Christmas one and all, Peace and Good Health.

A Weekend in London.....

Just got back from a fab weekend in London with all our boys. This is how it went. We left Friday lunch time and drove to Sheffield to pick up DS1. Then down to Hatfield to see DS2, we stayed in a hotel just opposite his Halls of Residence. We all set off early Saturday morning for the smog. First stop Camden, it is years since I was last here, and as you can see from the pic it was a lovely day, cold and crisp but very bright.

The market was fascinating with lots of unusual things, below the front facade of a tattoo shop on the high street.
On our way to the hotel in Canary Wharf, we called in to see our friends in Wapping for a cuppa.

The Hotel bed was super dupa .

The boys at Canary Wharf......

Late afternoon we hit the shops and the West End.....It was supposed to be the busiest day of the year!!!!! We took the tube to the South Bank, there were lots of street entertainers and a German Christmas Market. Hot toasted chestnuts and Gluvine for sale..... very festive. We had to try.

This guy was great, so clever how he kept so still, I would imagine a difficult way to earn a living. We dropped some money into his cap, he moved and bowed to us gesturing his gratitude.

On Sunday, we bought Christmas boquets from Columbia Rd. Market
