Knitting and Stitch Show......

Had a great day out at the Knitting and Stitch Show in Harrogate. I go every year on a coach trip with the ladies who work in our local sewing shop. I really look forward to the day so much, and it is nice to know someone else does the driving and no hassel finding parking at the other end. I say every year I will not buy too much, but I am usually seduced by all the wonderful things on show. This year I came back with the goodies below, more wool for my stash.....
And of course a trip would not be complete without the odd book......this one on the right was signed by the Author Sarah Lawrence.

We woke up this morning to snow.......

We woke up to snow this morning, it was forcast so no surprises. No photographs from me today as I have been working. Here is a post from DS3, he went walking with his dad in the forest just a couple of miles up the road from us
Alas, on my return from work it had all melted, and it was dark.

A Walk in the Woods.....

The weather this weekend has been glorious, clear skies, no wind but bitterly cold. DS2 could not wait to get out into the countryside, this is the one thing he is missing the most living in the built up south. We spent a lovely couple of hours walking in our nearby woods. This is favourite

of ours.

Here is proud mum, dad and brother.

Alas the weekend must come to an end and it is back to the smog .

DS2 is home for the weekend.......

I am so excited and have been all week, as DS2 is coming home for the weekend, his first time since leaving for University. I picked him up at Central Station this lunch time and was amazed how he has changed and looks so grown up. I just hugged him for what seemed aged. We got home and sat down to lunch together, a series of questions from me . I wanted to know everything he had been doing.

What a Lovely Surprise......

Today I received this lovely bouquet in the post. It is from my sister-in-law Alice, remember I made her the felted red bag a couple of weeks ago. She sent me these beautiful flowers to say thank you. It is a lovely hand tied bouquet with lots of flowers I love. Thank you so much.
