Ready and Packed for Holidays.....

We are off soon on our summer holiday. It has been an exhausting week as the weather has been so hot and I have been working nearly every day. The last two days have been especially tiring but we are all ready now. The boys are very good and try to do their own packing, although DS3 just realised he had forgotten to pack his pyjamas. Thank goodness for family discussions over dinner. We have to get up very early tomorrow, 4am, so not much sleep tonight. We are on the first flight to Heathrow Terminal 5, then across to Terminal 4 for our flight to the States. Hope I can manage to sleep on the plane. Here is a peek at one of our destinations.......
We are flying to Boston and travelling around New England, ending up in New York. I am looking forward to the Patchwork/Quilting shops in New England, DH and the boys are looking forward to Mountain Biking in Vermont. Humm wonder what I will do on those days!!!! Will hopefully take lots of photos and have lots to tell when I get back. Happy Holidays......

The Chicks have gone......

Well the day finally arrived and the chicks have gone back to the farm. The breeder came this evening and took 5 of them away, it turned out we had 4 cocks and 2 hens. We decided to keep the smallest one seen here on the left, she was one of the ones we named "the twins", and she has now been renamed May, as she was born on the 3rd May. I am hoping she will now thrive as she was being bullied by the others.
And then there were three, it seems quiet now that the other chicks have gone. I went round tonight to tuck Jill, Lucinda and May up for the night and found them all cozy. I thought how nice it was to see May being tucked up between them. How cute do they look. It makes the decision we made to keep her worth it.
