We celebrated our sons birthday this evening with a meal at home, his choice Bang Bang Chicken, and I made a traditional Victoria Sponge Cake, filled with Wild Cherry Jam and whipped cream.

Another weekend....
Another week has slipped by and the weekend is here again, it has been a busy old week, attending a day course on Monday, my main job and another temporary job. All in one week. This has left me with no time for crafting and blogging. Today is my youngest son's birthday, he is 15 and fortunately he is at that age where all he wants to do is go into town with his friends. While he was away enjoying his birthday treat at the cinema, DH and I wandered up to the allotment, more weeding and tidying. This is such a mammoth job, back breaking work. A little more progress, but still a long way to go......

Tell me about it!! It doesn't get any easier as you get older either!! I used to be able to graft all day!! Keep going you'll get there, love Helen x
That cake looks wonderful! See you Saturday - off to London with DS tomorrow. Must go to bed now - up at 5am!
Oh my, your allotment looks like it is putting mine to shame! The cake looks beautiful, hope he enjoyed it as much as a 15 year old boy can!
I can just see myself taking a bite out of this cake.......looks really good
